How to make the perfect bloody mary.

So I thought we would stray a bit from the ordinary program book talk and get into something really, really important. The best way to make the PERFECT BLOODY MARY. When ordering one of these drinks it is always a crap shoot.  How many times have we ordered this cocktail when out at a restaurant / bar and on the first sip it is either:
  1. Too watery and bland.
  2. Too hot and spicy
  3. Way lean on the alcohol.
  4. Too thick. (like a ketchup on ice.)
I have two recipes that really work well.  I should state, that for the record, the best Bloody Mary that I have encountered while out was at Fleming’s Steak House Restaurant. The only deterrent for me on this is the investment.  So here is the first Bloody Mary concoction.

This is a great recipe when you are making 1 or 2 glasses.
In a glass combine the following:
  1. Tomato juice (¾ glass)
  2. Vodka  11/2 – 2 Oz’s
  3. Lemon Juice 2 ½ Tbls.
  4. Huy Fong Sriracha Sauce 2 Tsp. (This sauce can be found at any grocery store. Here is a link as to what the bottle looks like.) Huy Fong Sauce Continer
  5. Pepperoncini juice from the jar of pepperoncini peppers 2 Tsp.

Morton’s Nature’s Seasons Seasoning Blend (a couple of shakes over the glass) –Here is a link to what the container looks like: Morton's Natures Seasoning container
Give this all a good stir, then garnish with a Pepperoncini pepper and celery stalk.

The next recipe is from Barefoot Contessa (Ina Garten). This will yield a pitcher of Bloody Mary's. This is an exceptional recipe if you are entertaining a number of guests (Or just yourself if you've had one of those days.).  For this recipe you will need a food processor. Here we go:

You know what rather than reinvent the wheel here, let’s get you a link to the process.
